It’s very simple.  All you need to do is:

1. Join Coventry LETS
2. Contact the member and agree a price. This can be in Covs or a combination of Covs and pounds Sterling.
3. When you are satisfied with your purchase, pay any cash part of the price agreed directly as this is not anything to do with Coventry LETS. It’s quickest and best to pay the Covs, as agreed, directly by using the members online trading and accounts system. Alternatively, when selling to a member without Internet access they might prefer to give you a Covs cheque.
4. Look in the LETS Trading directory to find out whether anyone is offering the goods or services that you would like (home-made bread, jam and chutneys, organic produce, cleaning, gardening, bicycle repairs, etc).
5. The seller then sends the cheque to the treasurer so that it can be recorded in the group accounts (this will take a little longer). The accounts are available online to be viewed by all LETS members.
6. Of course, this process also works the other way around, members can also contact you to purchase your goods and skills using Covs in payment for them.
